Busy outside the gates at sunset as people target for the sight, but there’s plenty of privacy because of the gate and the terraces. Lily and Nadia were amazing—accommodating at every step, getting drivers, making recommendations, and answering questions. Nadia’s breakfasts were outstanding. There’s a separate entrance to the kitchen, so she comes and goes without disruption. ☹ Nothing. Panoramic views that most hotels can’t get as it is above all cliffs. Truly amazing sunsets. ☹ Everything was incredible. The location is great for walking and shopping as you’re at the end/top of the shopping district whereas most of the luxury hotels are down the cliff more, which equates to walking up steeps steps every time you leave your hotel (not required when staying at Oia Mansion) - however the counter argument is that just outside the house gates is packed with people most times of the day, and especially 1-2 hrs before sunset. Once you’re inside the gates of Oia Mansion it’s no bother - you head up to the roof and catch the most unbelievable views. Only other slight negative is that becasue it’s a house/airbnb it has a host. The host is very sweet and attentive, but there every day. Every morning they cook breakfast (which is also incredible) - but they kind of stick around too much. If you like your peace and space/privacy - you will not get that here. It did not bother me as much as she is very helpful (sets up cab rides, knowledgeable about the town, etc.). However my husband is a very private person and he found it to be too invasive and too much. The other negative is the cost differs depending on the amount of people you have in the house. We originally booked for our family alone, and then others decided to join which I thought could just stay in the house with us. However when I let the host know he said it’s 300€/person/night extra 😳. Which I understand a little as more people equate to more food (as breakfast is included), but there was no ‘discount for kids’ and the added cost far surpassed what we would have paid for an entire residence/multi-bedroom suite at 4/5 star hotels in the area. For that reason I likely would not book again. But if money is no object, and the four bedrooms are well used, I would recommend this house. Each morning, home cooked breakfast was served on the courtyard. The food was delicious. The Mansion was just as it looks in pictures and descriptions. Lily was the most amazing host. She was so responsive and checked in on us regularly. Not only is the house spectacular, the location is 10/10 and Lilly and her mom are 10/10! The home cooked Greek breakfast we got each morning was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, Lilly took care of us like we were celebrities. We took her up on her suggestions for things to do and we were not disappointed. The sunset boat trip and day at black rock beach were just 2 of the many highlights from this trip. A special treat was watching the hundreds of people line up to see the Santorini sunsets, while we leisurely relaxed and watched from the stunning private roof top deck. The views are amazing. And the layout was perfect for our family of four. Two main level bedrooms and two on the second floor. Lily is an amazing host, she gave great restaurant recommendations and is so friendly and cares about her guest. Our ferry was delayed due to weather and she made sure our car picked us up and made sure we made our connection. Best Airbnb experience!! Oia Mansion had plenty of space for our family of five. The family room and dining rooms are roomy and comfortable. The downstairs patio is perfect for morning gatherings and the amazing breakfast provided each day by Nadia. The upstairs deck is perfect for hanging out, sunbathing and watching the sunset. In addition, the views are spectacular. The bedrooms are quiet and cool and the mattresses are firm. This property is located on the main walkway, so there are relatively few steps as compared to other properties in Oia. Lily, our concierge, was friendly, responsive and available whenever we had a question or needed her in any way. If I could override the 5 stars it would be a 10*! The mansion is perfect in everyway along with Lily.........who will go out of her way to make your stay EXTRA PERFECT in everyway. She knows the island so don't be afraid to ask her for recommendations on what to do ahead of time.
